Let’s Get Free: A Hip Hop Theory of Justice

“Let’s Get Free: A Hip Hop Theory of Justice”

When several laws are designed within, often times, clandestine, and sometimes corrupt, homogeneous enclaves, should anyone from the general public be surprised, that the realities of the current U.S. justice system appear to be counterintuitive to the 14th Amendment’s promise for “Equal Protection Under the Law”.

Award winning litigator Paul Butler, examines a variety of topics affecting the civil rights of all Americans, especially today’s African American youth. In his book, “Let’s Get Free: A Hip Hop Theory of Justice”, Butler explores issues such as, snitching, jury nullification, excessive and often times unnecessary incarceration and the targeting of African American youth.
