dance

Join Groupe Daara Gee as they share a thousand year old tradition of a dancing and drumming culture called the Sabar — indigenous to Senegal, West Africa. It is the “national anthem” of this nation. Sabar-style dancing is often performed at celebrations, such as weddings and baby-naming ceremonies as well as at general village gatherings. The dancing and drumming are secular, traditional, historic and entertaining all at once. It ignites dynamism, energy, camaraderie and unity amongst the communal societies of Senegal.
