This powerful conversation features leaders who played a crucial role in the Civil Rights Movement and, through the power of media, helped shape public opinion and change a nation. This event brings to life the images currently on display in the exhibit “Road to Freedom: Photographs of the Civil Rights Movement 1956-1968“ at The Field Museum.

Road to Freedom: Photographs of the Civil Rights Movement 1956-1968 is organized by the High Museum of Art, Atlanta and supported by the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation and an award from the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art. Sunday, 12 p.m to 5 p.m.

DuSable Museum is closed on Mondays,
