This enhanced version of the original Africa Speaks exhibit presents the art and culture of peoples across the entire continent and accentuates their uniqueness and historical connections to the rest of the world, especially the African Diaspora. To convey the whole of Africa in a single exhibition presents a challenge, but a challenge well in hand.
In addition to the gallery exhibition, Africa Speaks has incorporated innovative media components where visitors can further their explorations of modern Africa, including a viewing room with moving images of art, music and dance. Also included are a resource center with print and online study materials open storage area and an interactive Egyptian kiosk that provides a digital tour of the culture and customs.
