Focusing especially on the contributions from Africa, the exhibition presents sculptures, paintings, prints, religious objects, festival costumes, toys and other material that give access to the history and daily life of this complex and interesting area of the Americas. The exhibition is divided into three sections: The Land and Its People; Expressions of Faith; and Poetry, Celebration and Song.
