Charles Smith: Homecoming
The exhibition Charles Smith: Homecoming was inspired by a visit from Dr. Smith the founder and director of the African American Heritage Museum and Black Veterans Archive.
With a selection of sculptures created by Dr. Smith the exhibition celebrates the energy, will, and talent of a single man of commitment. The aim of the exhibition is not only to entice visitors to this exhibition to further explore the works of Dr. Smith by visiting the African American Heritage Museum and Black Veterans Archive in Aurora, Illinois, but to expose audiences to a rich legacy of folk art in mid-west.
