Bank of America Covers Museum Admission on Saturdays for Cardholders

Chicago, IL. (5 March 2010) —- Admission to the DuSable Museum of African American History, the nation’s first independent African American History Museum is now FREE on the first Saturday of every month thanks to Bank of America’s, “Museum’s On Us” program.

Beginning, March 6th, 2010, Bank of America /Merrill Lynch credit or debit card holders will receive One Free General Admission, the first Saturday of every month when they present their card along with a valid photo ID. Now all Bank of America cardholders can make their next weekend getaway a fun-filled, exciting and educational trip to the DuSable Museum—-all for free and all just for being a customer…..and with Summer right around the corner, what better time for a FREE getaway to arts and culture. *Note: the museum is free for all visitors on Sundays.

Last year, more than 173,000 adults and children visited the DuSable Museum of African American History. Now, thanks in part to Bank of America all of Chicagoland can have an educational and exciting Museum experience and not “break the bank” in doing so.

Dates for the “Museums on Us” program are: March 6th, April 3rd, May 1st, June 5th, July 3rd, August 7th, September 4th, October 2nd, November 6th and December 4th. Hours are Saturday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday’s, 12:00 NOON to 5:00 PM. Regular admission prices are $3 for adults; $2 for students and senior citizens; $1 for children ages 6 through 13; and children under the age of 6 are admitted free.

Tuesday—Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, 12 p.m to 5 p.m.

DuSable Museum is closed on Mondays,
between June 1st—January 2nd
(with exception of school holidays)
