Girl Scout Days at DuSable Museum


This spring, the DuSable Museum of African American History celebrates Girl Scout Days at the DuSable. During April and May on the dates below, troops are invited to spend a day exploring the various aspects of our permanent exhibit, Africa Speaks and earn a badge.

April
10:00 am – 4:00 PM
Learn about the wildlife of Tanzania; delve into the scarification practices of the Luba Women of Central Africa, and unearth the origins and significance of female African masks.

May
10:00 am – 4:00 PM
Plunge into the world of West African dance with a first-hand look inside Dance Africa at DuSable Museum through film, performance, and discussion.
